For <\/span><span title=\"Per 3 volte venne distrutta da un incendio.\">3 times it was destroyed by fire. <\/span><span title=\"L'ultima costruzione \u00e8 in stile neoclassico e risale al 1639. All'interno spiccano le sculture di Sebastiano Mariani e le pitture del parapetto della cantoria attribuite a Gianantonio Guardi.\">The last building is neoclassical and dates from 1639. Inside stand out the\u00a0 Sebastiano Mariani&#8217;s\u00a0sculptures and the paintings of the choir&#8217;s parapet attributed to Gianantonio Guardi. <\/span><span title=\"L'imponente organo che possiamo ammirare \u00e8 stato costruito nel 1821. Furthermore <\/span><span title=\"Al suo interno \u00e8 peraltro presente il corpo di San Niceta (martire goto).\">inside this church is buried the body of St. Nicetas (a Goth martyr ). <\/span><span title=\"Pregevole anche l'organo del XIX secolo.\">Noteworthy is also the organ of the nineteenth century. <\/span><span title=\"Completa il complesso un robusto campanile veneto-bizantino in cotto, anch'esso risalente al XIII secolo.\">Completing the complex a robust Venetian-Byzantine bell tower, dating from the thirteenth century. <\/span><span title=\"Nel 1973 la chiesa fu usata anche come set cinematografico per il film A Venezia... un dicembre rosso shocking di Nicolas Roeg.\">In 1973 the church was used as a movie set for the film &#8220;<i>Don&#8217;t Look Now<\/i>&#8221; by Nicolas Roeg.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>CHURCH OF GESUATI (1724-1736) Designed by Giorgio Massari.
